Janet Fisher is a native of Hutchinson, Kansas but has lived in Denton,
Texas since 1982. She has recently retired from Denton
Independent School District where she was a Dyslexia Therapist and
Educational Diagnostician for the Dyslexia Program. A life long
Methodist, she has served on numerous committees at First United
Methodist Church-Denton. She is a member of United Methodist
Women, was a Lay Delegate to Annual Conference, served on the
Finance Committee. She is currently serving on the Mission Team.
Since her retirement, she has spent a majority of her time on mission
projects at the church, her favorite one being the Alternative Gifts Fair. She is married to Dennis Fisher. They have three children and twelve
incredible grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys sewing and gardening.
